The Man Behind The Firm

For the last two decades, Mr. Conway has been a nationally recognized authority on military justice. His reputation is built on a long and successful career that began in the military and continued as one of the leading military defense lawyers in the nation.

​Daniel Conway served as a Marine. He joined the firm in 2005. Our founding partner – Gary Myers – founded the firm in 1972. Mr. Conway has handled some of the most high-profile cases over the last twenty years including Abu Ghraib, Haditha, the MARSOC Marines, the Kill Team, and many others.

That firsthand knowledge and experience of military life informs the respect and dignity with which he treats every client. It’s also one source of his vast wealth of knowledge in military justice.

Another source is his education. Daniel Conway is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of New Hampshire School of Law.  From there, Mr. Conway continued learning while working for Gary Myers. Their work together is immortalized in numerous films and documentaries. It was during his time working with Gary Myers, that Mr. Conway honed his craft traveling the world demanding justice for clients.

He has traveled to Iraq seven times and Afghanistan once, defending service members. His track record of success has earned a reputation as a skilled and tenacious litigator. It was an honor to serve his country and it continues to be an honor to serve fellow service members.

A Richmond, Virginia native, Mr. Pristera graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
